Volunteer

As a grassroots campaign trying to struggle against the overwhelming influence of money in politics, People for Tom Riggs is mobilizing a strong volunteer base to get the job done.  You can help in a wide variety of ways, such as:

  • Make phone calls
  • Host a small event
  • Write a letter to the editor
  • Put a bumper sticker on your car
  • Add your name to the list of endorsers
  • Help with a large event
  • Go door-to-door talking to voters
  • Put up yard signs
  • Something else you’re great at that we haven’t even thought of!

If you would like to help Tom carry the voices of working people down to Olympia, please contact us and let us know!

There are also many things you can do to help support Washington jobs, promote Washington businesses, build community, and preserve family farms.  While not directly related to volunteering for the campaign, these actions are the fundamentals of what the campaign stands for:

  • Shop in locally owned stores
  • Get to know your farmer
  • Talk to your neighbors
  • Buy locally grown food
  • Get involved in your community
  • Call your national, state, and local representatives, and let them know what’s important to you
  • And hundreds of other things… you have the power to make a choice, and to make a difference!
